THE BEST CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

I have been on the hunt for the most perfect homemade chocolate chip cookie recipe. I LOVE chocolate chip cookies, especially the Nestle Tollhouse Chocolate Chip Lovers. That is my go-to. My roommate and I cook them all the time, if we are baking, that is what we are making. You just can’t go wrong. However, sometimes, you just want to make your own from scratch, so that was my attempt with this recipe.

This has probably been my favorite recipe that I have found so far. I tend to forget about it though. In 6th or 7th grade, my english teacher had us write a paper on how to do something. I wrote mine on how to make these cookies AND as a part of the project we had to make a video to go along with it.

These cookies turned out really good and they are EASY! That is what I love about them, they are good and easy, nothing like it.

Recipe:

  • 3/4 c. butter flavored Crisco
  • 1 1/4 cup of firmly packed, light brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp. milk
  • 1 tbsp. vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 1 3/4 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet morsels
  • 1/2 cup of mini semi-sweet morsels

Preheat oven to 375º. Cream Crisco, sugar, milk, and vanilla in a mixer. Beat egg into mixture. Combine flour, salt, baking soda, and mix into creamed mixture. Stir in chocolate chips with a spatula. Use a spoon to spoon mixture onto baking sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes for chewy cookies and 11-13 minutes for crispy cookies. Cool on baking sheet.

***My favorite baking sheet to use for cookies are the pampered chef stone sheets! They never get too hot!

Get it here or from a local pampered chef consultant! https://www.pamperedchef.com/shop/Stoneware/Rectangle+Stone/1350
