Okay, so yesterday I woke up craving some cinnamon rolls and then the idea popped in my head to use them to make monkey bread. I was sure that someone had done that before so I googled it and of course, they had. However, I did not find a recipe that I liked so I compiled things I liked from all of the recipes I saw, and this is what I came up with.
It was good, especially if you are a cinnamon roll lover. This is a tasty treat, for any time of day.
Ingredients:
2 Grands Cinnamon Roll w/ Icing
1 stick of butter
3/4 cup of brown sugar
Remove the cinnamon rolls from package. Pull them apart according to pre-cut lines on the cinnamon rolls. Cut them into small pieces (I did fourths on most of mine). Place them in a mixing bowl. Melt the stick of butter. Pour the brown sugar into the melted butter and mix it together. Pour over the cinnamon roll pieces and mix together, I used my hands to keep the pieces together and undamaged. You might not use the entire mixture, just enough to coat the pieces. Grease a bundt pan and place the pieces inside. Bake at 350º for 30-35 minutes. Use the icing from the cinnamon roll can to ice pieces.
*I would wait at least 5 or so minutes before dumping out of the bundt pan so that it will stay together. I would also ice only the pieces that you are serving because the icing will melt off of really hot pieces.
